ENTER NOW! Basilmentos Doll Raffle to Raise Funds for Nature Conservation

I am ready to pass my dolls on to the next generation of collectors and creators. 

I’m not making videos any more, and the dolls are sitting in my closet gathering dust. They would be better off in a new home where they will be used and appreciated. But I keep hesitating to sell them. It’s difficult for me to let go of my dolls when I have so many years of memories with each of them. I want to pass them on to people who will enjoy them, but I need to do it in a way that feels right... auctioning them all to the highest bidder somehow doesn’t feel good enough.

I want to use this opportunity to do some good in the world. 

So many of my stop motions were filmed in the great outdoors, often in public parks and on protected lands. I am so grateful that I was able to use these public spaces and experience the beauty of nature through video-making. I want to give back to the landscapes behind basilmentos. 

From now until March 19th, I will be hosting a raffle for my Alex doll. All of the proceeds will go to Nature Conservancy Canada. Check it out!

Thank you for joining me in this journey and supporting a cause that means so much to me! I know that Alex will go to a new home where she will be loved and appreciated. And in the process, we will get to support Nature Conservation in the place where so many basilmentos memories were made.

RAFFLE DETAILS

To enter the Alex doll raffle, you must buy a "ticket". Tickets are offered in bundles of one, two, or three tickets. The more tickets you purchase, the higher your chance of winning. As a courtesy to others, please limit yourself to three tickets. I want to give everyone a fair chance of winning Alex without a large cost. All proceeds from ticket sales (minus processing fees) will be donated to Nature Conservancy Canada by 3/20/23, and of course, I will post a donation receipt on an @annabasilmentos instagram story for transparency's sake. The winner of this giveaway will be randomly selected at 5:00PM Eastern on 3/19/23. I will send you an email message and/or instagram message to notify you if you're the winner and share next steps. You will also receive an automated email from BetterWorld, the platform that is hosting the giveaway. To receive the prize, the winner must complete a purchase in the basilmentos etsy shop to cover the cost of shipping the prize. I've decided to have the winner cover the cost of shipping so that I don't have to subtract shipping costs from our donation to the Nature Conservancy Canada.

Alex will be shipped to the winner wearing the outfit pictured in the raffle photo series: A purple turtleneck, khaki pants, American Girl brand high-top sneakers, a black zip up hoodie, and a dark blue knit hat.
