Spring Break fun! + exclusive photo!

Hey there, AGtubers! Long time no see! Well guess what? Im back!

The musical finally closed last weekend, and though it was a stressful, time consuming commitment, I was honestly kind of sad that it was over. It was such a great show- we blew away audience after audience. On closing night we had a full house, which is incredible because the theatre seats 950 people. The show ended with a standing ovation and cheering so loud that my ears rang, and as soon as the curtain came down, nearly the entire cast broke into tears. It was so bittersweet.

It was quite a ride, with many ups and downs, but in hindsight the show was one of the most exciting, social and musical chapters in my life. It would be wonderful to live it again, but that chapter has closed. It is time for me to move on to a new phase in this year: recovering my wounded grades (the play left me with no time to study or do homework) and catch back up on my video making.

Since it is spring break, (one of the few free weeks in my school year!) I am trying to strategically plan my use of daylight. My plan for tomorrow is to wake up early and get straight to filming, and then edit after dark. Since its dark outside right now, I am trying to plan tomorrow's film schedule.
It is such a beautiful time of year. I love spring. Instead of trying to formulate videos inside my mind, I went for a walk today, and I let the forest inspire me. I hiked up the stream, scoping out good spots to film. I found a doll sized "swimming hole" and a waterfall farther downstream. I thought about building a raft for my dolls, but then discarded that idea because the danger of getting them wet would be too high. I really wish AmericanGirl dolls could withstand water. I have all these hilarious stop-motion ideas, but they all require getting the dolls wet. I wish there was such thing as dry suits for dolls!

Today I took some photos of my dolls next to the waterfall. It was quite precarious crawling across the slippery stone next to the rushing water, clutching a doll and camera in my hand. I never fell, thankfully. I took pics of Sarah dressed up as a hiker, and as Eva in her meet outfit. The scenery near the waterfall looked very tropical, so paired with her Hawaiian outfit she looked right at home. Here is a photo of the little scene. Its exclusive, for blog-readers only!

Tomorrow is going to be a big filming day. I am not really sure what I have planned yet, but I can probably come up with something while I sleep. Speaking of sleep, it's probably about time for me to go to bed! See you all soon. :)

  17. It is amazing how much your picture looks like Hawaii. I guess the similarity is they are both rain forests. I am guessing you did not have tropical temperatures though.

Is there a way to use blue screen with stop motion so your dolls can swim?

Welcome back, Anna! We are all looking forward to your creative endeavors in the AG realm. Glad you had fun with the play.
