Basilmentos Christmas Wish-list!!

I am very excited for Christmas! I love the warm holiday spirit, spending time with friends and family, decorating the christmas tree and drinking hot chocolate- it is one of my favorite times of year. Also, my mom has been scourging Ebay lately in search of retired American Girl and Pleasant Company treasures, so opening presents on Christmas morning should be pretty exciting too!

For the most part, my wish-list consists of retired items, and I don't really want much from modern American Girl. However, as always, I have put together a "dream-list" of things I want from AG, but probably wont actually end up getting. Enjoy! :)

1. Julie and Ivy's car!
Ever since I first saw this car, I have been in love. It is so darling, and the attention to detail is incredible. I can only imagine how beautiful it would look in a stop-motion. (It just so happens that this is also my dream car in the human world!) I keep thinking of great movies I could make, and I am always in need of a car. I have managed to use cardboard boxes in the past, but they were very difficult to maneuver with and have now fallen apart. It would be nice to have a sturdier option.

The real problem with this car is that it is very overpriced. ($350 + shipping!!!)
I could maybe persuade myself to pay $100 or $150 for a doll car, but what american girl is charging is just too much! I doubt I will be able to bring myself to buy it. Its just...so expensive...

2. Reindeer Pajamas
I adore these PJs! I love the color, the fabrics and the sweet design of reindeer. The antlers seem a bit odd and out of place, but hey, I am sure I could find a use for them in a stop-motion! Julia is also in need of some cute PJs, so these are perfect.

 3. Garden Rain boots
I already have blue rain boots, but I would love another pair. The design on these ones is really cute, and I like the color. My dolls would wear them all the time!
 4. Hiking Accessories
This set is so cute!!! I LOVE the mini headlamp and the fanny pack with the water bottle. They would both look great in an outdoor stop-motion. The compass is also pretty cute, and I am sure I could find a use for it when filming outside.
My only issue with this set is that I am not so in love with the jacket. I guess it would be alright, but I am not sure I am willing to pay the price for the whole set and only end up using the headlamp, fanny pack and compass. This one is a maybe on my wish list.
5. Lacrosse Outfit
I am not really sure how I would use this set if I ended up buying it. Dolls are not very good at holding other objects, so I am not sure how she would grasp the lacrosse stick. Nonetheless, it is an incredibly cute set! I love the little lacrosse stick, ball and eye protection- they are all so realistic! Imagine how cute this would look in a stop motion...

Thats my wish list! I hope you enjoyed!

On another note; winter break is coming up soon, and I will have tons of free time to make videos! I am so excited to just sit down with the doll and camera and film for hours. :D What are you guys planning on doing over break? Staying home and spending time with your family? Visiting grandparents? Traveling somewhere interesting? Comment below tell me how you plan to celebrate the season!

  1. Yes! First Comment. I think that you have a very nice taste in AG items. Also, I think that it would be much easier to buy some reindeer fabric, and just sew some pj's. Pj pants are the easiest to sew, and would probably sew quite a bit of money. Happy Holidays!

  2. Anna, you always have such good taste in everything! I completely agree that the car is very overpriced, though there is always room to dream.

    1. But u cant make a stopmotion with a dream

    2. Yes you can, you can make a stopmotion about the dream. I love Julie's car, but the price is just too crazy for me. Its so realistic and that shade of blue is one of my favourite colours. Everytime I see a car like that in a movie or something like that, I always think and sometimes say out loud, oh,there's the car

  3. =0)I think the car could be sold for about 100 dollars. The car alone is cute, but I'm more interested in the things it comes with! I really want the Pj's and the Hiking Accessories, too! My doll Lanie, who has been with me since last August, REALLY needs her own pajamas. Haha, Merry Early Christmas everyone! =0D

  4. Hmmm, I think I'll just be hanging out with friends & staying at home over break! Have you ever considered an Our Generation Car? It doesn't have as much detail, but at wal-mart they had a pink our generation jeep for only $40! I don't know if they have any other type of car though... :P
Anyways, I love Christmas-time too! I love the snow, the music, the happiness! Soo nice...♥

  7. I am going to try to film a Hanukkah video, but today is the last day of Hanukkah, so it might be late. I also hope to film a Christmas stopmotion with my mini tree. As for real plans on Christmas Eve my sister is coming over to spend the evening, but on Christmas morning we have to make stops at my grammy and pawpaw's house (Mom's side) and then to my gramma's house (Dad's side).

  8. I'm going skiing :) I love the reindeer pajamas too!! They're on my list for Christmas as well. The car would've been on it, but the price is almost terrifying!! Your list seems practical though, and I can't wait until Christmas break to see more of your amazing videos!!

  11. I am so excited. I am probably getting a lot of AG stuff, including a new doll, and my dad is either getting our laptop fixed (it has a virus) or getting a new one since ours is from like, 1950 (JK its from 2005) so that means I will be rolling out stopmotion after stopmotion. I have tons of videos already planned, so check out my channel (luckypennystudios104) and my bloc(link on my channel) for more information. Toodles!!!!!

  13. Haha, Anna, you have great taste in gifts! ;) Everything sounds so cute! I would LOVE to have a pair of those adorable reindeer pajamas too! The pants are so silky soft, and the print is just adorable! I also really like Caroline's blue coat, or whatever it's called, and I actually love the snowboarding outfit, but it doesn't really snow where I live, so that would be worthless. XD Haha, but your wishlist sounds perfect! The car would be a perfect addition to your doll stuff, I'm sure you would use it a lot! :D
On another note, I hate to be pushy.. But did you get my message? XD Haha, it's just it's kind of important.. :)

  14. I love everything you picked out! I LOVE the reindeer pajamas. I think if you got the car it would be amazing for your stopmotions and such, but yeas, it's wayy overpriced!

    1. Also a Kitchen set that Anna has (SO DANG CUTE!!!)

    2. At Walmart, it has some 18 inch brand, I think it's called "My Life" Or something, but the shoes are literally $2. And then the outfits are around $5? I can't remember, but everything was so cute. I don't know about the durability, but it looks good.

    3. The doll is called My Life As and its collection very cute. The outfits are super cute and only $10. They have a camping set with a tent, a faux cooler box, a working lamp and a foldable chair, all for $22, very good buy!

  16. I'm going to stay at home or go to my grandparents, well of course I'm going my grandparents because they're right down the street. But the main reason why I will be at home is because I'm sick in bed with my laptop.

  17. I can't wait for christmas I want so many ag stuuf but Anna is right their prices and some of their items were better when it was still called pleasant company.

  18. Hello Anna,
I love your choices and also think American Girl is a little too pricey. The first item you said was "Julie and Ivy's car. I love it but know my mom would never let me get it. Hopefully if you get it you have a great time. Also, the second item I agree with you the outfit is so cute but the antlers are out of place. On my wish list I have the "Sweet heart" pajama's from American Girl. In fact your third item is what I asked my grandma for Christmas. I thought they were so cute and would look gorgeous. I think they would look great in your stop motions. With the hiking accessories on the other hand I would not like, but that is from my point of view. I feel that it is too expensive and do not like what come in the package except for the little pack that goes around the doll's waist. As for your fourth option I think it is adorable knowing that I am trying lacrosse put this coming season. As for what I'm doing over break I will be spending Christmas
Day at my house. Then my family of four will get in a car to drive to Iowa where we will be staying with my dad's parents for a few days. Drive back and go to school. Also I am so excited just to spend time witht family.

  19. I would love to see those things in one of your stopmotions! I have a little idea for your car: did you know that Our Generation has a car too? It's a jeep though, and it's hot pink :-/ but it is actually pretty good quality and is only around $50 or so. I don't have it but you can see it at Target. Maybe that would work for you? :-)
I'm pretty much going to make videos this break too :-D but first I have FINALS Dx

The story behind it all....

In September of 2009, a pre-teen girl named Anna was searching youtube. She no longer used her american girl dolls. they were behind the closet doors, gathering dust. She reluctantly glanced over, then began to type in the search bar: American Girl Dolls. A video came up. She clicked on it. 14 coustumed dolls slid onto the screen and began to dance together, waving their arms and doing cartwheels. Anna was shocked. How could this be possible? This was.... Amazing. She quickly searched a few more. There were hudreds of videos, by usernames like stephenswodadancer, AGlovejess and girloftheyearstudios. Anna couldn't believe it. This new discovery was incredible! She ran to her room and pulled out her two dolls, felicity and samantha. She grabbed her camera. And, she began to film.

It is now four years later. I work on videos almost everyday, usually stopmotions. I have gathered quite a few veiws and subscribers on youtube, and I really appriciate when people comment on my videos. I have come unbelievibly far, but I still leave up those first videos from two years ago, because for me, those are the memories that I will always treasure. I am so happy that I can share them with you.
