I am very excited for Christmas! I love the warm holiday spirit, spending time with friends and family, decorating the christmas tree and drinking hot chocolate- it is one of my favorite times of year. Also, my mom has been scourging Ebay lately in search of retired American Girl and Pleasant Company treasures, so opening presents on Christmas morning should be pretty exciting too!
For the most part, my wish-list consists of retired items, and I don't really want much from modern American Girl. However, as always, I have put together a "dream-list" of things I want from AG, but probably wont actually end up getting. Enjoy! :)
1. Julie and Ivy's car!
Ever since I first saw this car, I have been in love. It is so darling, and the attention to detail is incredible. I can only imagine how beautiful it would look in a stop-motion. (It just so happens that this is also my dream car in the human world!) I keep thinking of great movies I could make, and I am always in need of a car. I have managed to use cardboard boxes in the past, but they were very difficult to maneuver with and have now fallen apart. It would be nice to have a sturdier option.
The real problem with this car is that it is very overpriced. ($350 + shipping!!!)
I could maybe persuade myself to pay $100 or $150 for a doll car, but what american girl is charging is just too much! I doubt I will be able to bring myself to buy it. Its just...so expensive...
2. Reindeer Pajamas
I adore these PJs! I love the color, the fabrics and the sweet design of reindeer. The antlers seem a bit odd and out of place, but hey, I am sure I could find a use for them in a stop-motion! Julia is also in need of some cute PJs, so these are perfect.
3. Garden Rain boots
I already have blue rain boots, but I would love another pair. The design on these ones is really cute, and I like the color. My dolls would wear them all the time!
4. Hiking AccessoriesThis set is so cute!!! I LOVE the mini headlamp and the fanny pack with the water bottle. They would both look great in an outdoor stop-motion. The compass is also pretty cute, and I am sure I could find a use for it when filming outside.
My only issue with this set is that I am not so in love with the jacket. I guess it would be alright, but I am not sure I am willing to pay the price for the whole set and only end up using the headlamp, fanny pack and compass. This one is a maybe on my wish list.
5. Lacrosse Outfit
I am not really sure how I would use this set if I ended up buying it. Dolls are not very good at holding other objects, so I am not sure how she would grasp the lacrosse stick. Nonetheless, it is an incredibly cute set! I love the little lacrosse stick, ball and eye protection- they are all so realistic! Imagine how cute this would look in a stop motion...
Thats my wish list! I hope you enjoyed!
On another note; winter break is coming up soon, and I will have tons of free time to make videos! I am so excited to just sit down with the doll and camera and film for hours. :D What are you guys planning on doing over break? Staying home and spending time with your family? Visiting grandparents? Traveling somewhere interesting? Comment below tell me how you plan to celebrate the season!
